Algorithm

Technology is part of our lives and over the years it will continue to increase its influence on the activities we carry out daily.

The COVID-19 pandemic made it more than clear that there were people who were not prepared for the Internet of Things, since it seemed foreign to many.

Technology will continue to influence our daily lives, so it is important not to let our guard down and continue expanding our knowledge in terms such as cloud space, metaverse, USB, cryptocurrencies, among others.

An algorithm is a mathematical process that tries to solve a problem using a certain number of steps.

In the world of computing, computers and programming, an algorithm is the set of instructions that defines not only what should be done, but how it should be done.

  • Algorithm Types:
  1. Numerical algorithms.
  2. Algebraic algorithms.
  3. Geometric algorithms.
  4. Sequential algorithms.
  5. Operational algorithms.
  6. Theoretical algorithms.
  7. There are other algorithms whose name comes from their creators. Examples of this are the Shor algorithm, the Girvan-Newman algorithm or the Euclidean algorithm.

On the other hand and before commenting on the characteristics, the main commands that can be programmed are search, sort, insert, update and delete.

Algorithms have a finite number of instructions. That is, they have a beginning and an end. It is very important that it be viable. They are part of this reality of the technological world.
