Objectives

CHALLENGES

  1. Regulated training centres can not adapt to the pace of new changes, with outdated and very expensive academic structures with 20th-century curricula that are no longer operational.

  2. Established local businesses will have serious problems filling jobs with the new digital skills required, in a scenario of lack of digital skill and high international competition.

  3. Entrepreneurs and young entrepreneurs are attracted to the great international urban hubs, as are the better-qualified young people. Our population is ageing.

  4. Basque, like other minority leagues, inside and outside Europe, is lagging far behind in this new scenario of digital transformation.

  5. Non-proactive or unporiescient people will fall into social exclusion and/or incur a very high economic-social cost.

  6. Collaborative structures gain more strength than ever in history, overcoming the individualism that ended up establishing the twentieth century.

  7. Local society consumes global products and services of the 21st century with revenue generated by 20th-century structures and organizations. Local society is not culturally or informatively digitized, anchored in the 20th century.

OPPORTUNITIES

  1. New digital training requires neither large investments nor large academic resources. It's free, agile, fast and global (accessible anywhere connected). It's 21st century literacy, the new illustration.
  2. Entrepreneurship is the key to the 21st century. Everything is yet to be done, and there are no boundaries or borders. It's the century of the proactive and positive spirit.

  3. We have a collaborative, cooperative culture, deeply rooted in our local area. Collaborative organizations and projects are the new economy in the global world of digital transformation. To this tradition, a global reference point, as is the case in the Region of Alto Deba, we must instil a renewed proactive, positive, global, open and digital essence, so that it is once again a viable and globally competitive model.

ACTIONS

The Orienta Zaitez Foundation aims to disseminate and enhance at the local level the opportunities of global digital transformation, for this we will carry out multiple and different actions and programs that are open to the financing options, and at the pace that imposes the digital transformation itself:
  1. Intervention at training and employment events.
  2. Publication and channel eWord Aldizkaria, publication of general information for the publication in Basque of digital transformation with the prism the new society of the 21st century.
  3. Training Guide, aimed at all training fabric and companies.
  4. Meetings of entrepreneurs.
  5. Collaborative culture meetings.
  6. Digital orientation and internationalization talks at Training Centres.
  7. Development of europedigitallhub.eus.
  8. Digital Training Center, with a social focus.
