Trak consolidates its leadership in digital physiotherapy thanks to Artificial Intelligence

The digital health startup closes 1.3 million euros in its second investment round to boost its internationalization.

Unite professional scenarios such as physiotherapy and Artificial Intelligence in the Basque Country with the company Trak Health Solutions, promoted during the pandemic by three partners who knew each other from the university and who developed an application to improve injury rehabilitation processes without having than leaving home.

The company currently has 16 people and has just closed its second round of investment worth 1.3 million euros, a boost with which they trust to be able to start their internationalization process, acknowledges Carlos Rodríguez, one of the founders. along with Jon Vital and Daniel Soler.

They are currently working with leading health entities such as Mapfre, Sanitas or Mutua Universal. Digital physiotherapy that is helping the recovery of several people.

Trak is a digital tool that allows healthcare professionals to offer rehabilitation treatments instantly based on the exercises performed to their patients, as well as report clinical data to the healthcare professional for subsequent analysis. This platform also helps reduce waiting list times.

A capital increase to scale the business and consolidate itself as a leading platform in digital physiotherapy at a national level and then make an international leap. They want to open the market in Holland supported by a European project and then Colombia, Chile and Mexico starting in the summer.

They have been one of two European companies to benefit from a grant promoted by EIT Health to introduce the solution into the Dutch health reimbursement system, a market very accustomed to digital health solutions.

The AI accompanies the patient in the rehabilitation process by offering corrections on the exercises they have to perform and collects data so that the healthcare professional can monitor the recovery progress.

As a good technology company, they consider themselves a nomadic company where teleworking is key.
